Driver side door wont open from inside or outside.

Drivers side door will not open on the outside 4 answers. Replaced inside driver door handle for 2001 chevy prizim but the door will not open from the inside. All other doors work properly. I have also tried using my key in the keyhole on the outside but still nothing.

The doors lock properly etc. I gave it a good tug and the handle came off the door in my hand leaving the rest of the handle mechanism on the door. The door handle on my drivers side does not open from the outside.
